One World Youth Project Conference in Washington, DC - 2007

Six students represented our school at the One World Youth Project Conference in Washington, DC at the end of March, 2007. These students, with help from the rest of the Roots & Shoots club, lobbied representatives and participated in a presentation at a Congressional reception in support of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

Our school and our sister school in Tanzania are planning service projects in support of MDG Goal #2, providing access to primary education for all citizens. Towards that end, our group would like to plan a service project in support of ESL classes for adult immigrants on Cape Cod. If any adult members of the CCLCS community have knowledge or experience with such programs, please contact Mr. Niles, Miss Allie, or a Roots & Shoots member.
