MOCK TRIAL

This seminar will prepare a "real" case and take it into courts in southeast Massachusetts in competition against other schools. Students will learn basic legal processes and take on roles of lawyers and witnesses. This year's case is a criminal case. This seminar will be a good deal of work, most likely including work at home and meetings on an occasional Sunday. It would be a rare 6th grader who could pull this off. Preference will be given to last year's participants but 7th graders looking for a good challenge are very welcome. Trials will be held off Cape...some travel will be necessary. 14 students
