Seminars Through the Years

We will explore making sculpture with basic construction techniques and common materials such as wood, plaster, wire, and paper mache, with an emphasis on using recycled materials, especially those that accumulate around this building, at local swap shops and the dump, in your basement, and on the beach! We will be looking at art made around the world from the global scrap heap. No prior sculpture experience necessary, but this course is not for the faint of heart -- you must be willing to get dirty and work hard!
