Minutes
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:05p.m. The motion was made by Scott and seconded by Kathy McNamara to go into Executive Session. The regular meeting was resumed at 7:05 p.m. Members present: Heidi Schmidt, Robert Dwyer, Josh Stewart, Allison Graham, Norm Michaud, Lori LaBarge, Marion Hobbs, Carole Ridley, Stefanie Fournier, Kathie Grenon, Scott Barron, Bernie Lynch, Kathy McNamara, and Diane Titcomb. Members absent: Bill Bogdanovich and Chris Wells. Public: Jon Fuller. Jon left during the Executive Session.
Director's Report
-Kathy reported the charter renewal application was received. The site visit by the state will be October 13th all of the Board Members are encouraged to attend.
The Town Meeting for Brewster has been moved from Nov. to Oct. 19th.
-The By-Laws were approved by the State DOE
-Kathy's July meeting with the Superintendent of the Nauset Schools Richard Hoffmann went well. Kathy asked him to come and visit the school.
-On Aug. 8th about 30 incoming sixth grade families gathered for a picnic at the Cape Rep. property.
-We have full sixth grade enrollment at 76 students.
Site Committee
-Bill Bogdonavich will become the new Chairman of the Site Committee.
Finance Committee Report
-The salary cut is in place. Stefanie said we will talk about restoring salaries if the state does not cut funding.
-Stefanie reminded us the state has the right to take back funds retroactively throughout the year.
-The audit is underway.
Chair's Report
-Heidi encouraged each of the Members of the Board to make a contribution to the Foundation.
Faculty Report
-Allie reported the Japan Homestay was wonderful. All of our students did very well representing CCLCS. Allie would like to see the Japan Homestay program become better known and understood within the school.
New Business
There was no new business.
The Minutes of the July 15, 2009 meeting were approved with corrections.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
