And don't forget 5th grade siblings of our students need to meet the same application deadline as other students - Monday, February 13, 12 noon the application must be in the office.

All - Did you get a chance to read our December newsletter? If not, please take a moment to do so!

Lunch - It has come to our attention that many students are ordering beverages and not drinking them. If your child does not want milk or juice, they do not have to order it. The cost of lunch will still be $3.50. Please discuss with your child if they drink their milk or juice or whether bringing water would be a better option.

Nutrition - The United States Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) has a new web site to encourage healthy eating.
Here are some tips :
What's on your plate ? Before you eat, think about what and how much food goes goes on your plate or in your cup or bowl. Over the day, include foods from all food groups: vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and lean protein foods.
Make half your plate fruits & veggies, make at least half your grains whole, switch to skim or 1% milk and vary your protein food choices.
